Under ChatGPT & Claude, AgenticCart runs your store as its own app inside ChatGPT and Claude, published under your name. When a shopper asks for something you sell, the assistant can search your catalog, show your products as cards, read details and your store's policies, and build a cart that the shopper completes in your store. Technically this is an MCP server - the open standard both assistants use to connect apps - hosted by AgenticCart on your own AI domain.
What you need
ai.yourbrand.com. Your app answers at https://ai.yourbrand.com/mcp. An AI storefront is not required. What the app can do
- Search your products - with the same search your AI storefront uses, by meaning, by the shopper's words and by model or part number.
- Show product details - variants, prices, availability and the prepared product information, as product cards in both assistants.
- Answer policy questions - shipping, returns and FAQ from Store settings › Policies & FAQ.
- Build a cart - with the WooCommerce plugin or the Shopify app, the shopper gets a cart link: it opens your AI storefront with the cart filled, or without a storefront goes straight to your store's checkout. The shopper pays in your checkout; assistants never complete a purchase themselves. See cart and checkout.
- Pass a message on to you - if you switch on Messages from shoppers, a shopper can ask the assistant, with their consent, to send you a question. It arrives by email and in Conversations, and your reply goes to the shopper.
Shoppers do not sign in. The app only reads your public catalog and policies, and its answers carry no shopper data.
Set it up
-
1
Set up your AI domain
Under Store settings › Domain, add the two DNS records shown and wait for SSL. See your AI domain. -
2
Switch on ChatGPT & Claude
At the top of the ChatGPT & Claude page. Your app now answers on your domain. -
3
Test it yourself
Add your app's address as a custom connector in Claude, or in ChatGPT with developer mode. This needs no review, so you can see your app working the same day. -
4
Fill in your brand links
Both directories ask for your website, support, privacy policy and terms of service pages. Add them under Store settings › Brand. The checklist on the page shows what is still missing. -
5
Generate your listing
AgenticCart writes the name, subtitle, descriptions and example prompts for both apps from your catalog and your policies, in the language you pick. You can edit everything. -
6
Submit it
For ChatGPT: verify your business in the OpenAI Platform, upload the app package from the page, paste the domain token OpenAI shows you, add a short demo video and submit. For Claude: in the Claude directory, choose a new MCP connector and paste the values from the page. Both review the app before it is listed - until then, you can keep using it yourself.
Your app under your name
AgenticCart does not publish one shared app for all stores. Each store submits its own app, on its own domain, so it appears in ChatGPT and Claude with your brand, and the platforms' publisher rules apply to you as the seller. The listing texts and the package are prepared for you; the review itself is between you and OpenAI or Anthropic.
See what it does
The page shows the calls per assistant for the last 30 days and which tools they used. Sessions, carts and checkouts from the apps appear in Insights, split by assistant, and conversations in Conversations.
