Looking for a Tidio alternative?

Tidio answers questions. AgenticCart sells.

Both put a conversation on your store. Tidio is a live chat and helpdesk with an AI agent bolted on to deflect support tickets. AgenticCart is a storefront where the conversation is how people find and buy your products.

The short answer

Most of this page is detail. If you only read one part, read this one.

Choose Tidio if

  • Your main job is support: order status, returns, "where is my parcel".
  • You need one inbox across email, Instagram and WhatsApp as well as chat.
  • You have agents who take over conversations and need tickets, macros and routing.

Choose AgenticCart if

  • Your main job is discovery: helping a shopper find the right product out of hundreds.
  • You want recommendations from your own product catalog, with product cards, not links to a help article.
  • You would rather pay a flat monthly price than be billed for every conversation you have.

Same question

One shopper. Two answers.

“I need a gift for my dad who cycles, under 80 euros.”

Tidio

A support agent searches its knowledge base for a matching article. With no article on gift ideas it falls back to a generic answer or hands the chat to a human.

AgenticCart

Semantic search runs over your synced catalog, three products under 80 euros come back as cards with price and availability, and the shopper can ask "is the second one warm enough for winter?" as a follow-up.

Checked against Tidio's own public pages in August 2026. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will fix it.

How each is priced

Tidio bills on "billable conversations" - a conversation counts once a human replies - and its Lyro AI agent runs on its own separate quota, with a pay-per-resolution option on the top tier. Checked August 2026 on their own pricing page. The number matters less than the shape: on a support tool, more conversations means more cost, which is the correct incentive for deflection and the wrong one for selling. AgenticCart is a flat monthly price with a generous interaction allowance, because a shopping agent that costs more the more it engages is a shopping agent you will be tempted to throttle.

Concretely: a store with 500 shopper conversations in a month watches two meters on Tidio - the separate Lyro AI quota, and the billable-conversation count for anything a human touches. On AgenticCart it is one allowance inside your plan, so the answer to "can I afford for shoppers to ask more questions" is always yes.

What Tidio is built for

Tidio is a support product, and a well-built one. Ticketing, macros, agent handover and a shared inbox across email, Instagram and WhatsApp are its job, and AgenticCart does none of that. The two sit on different halves of the shopping trip, which is why plenty of stores run both: Tidio for the post-purchase inbox, AgenticCart for the pre-purchase conversation.

And who should not buy us

AgenticCart is not a helpdesk. No ticketing, no agent routing, and it will not deflect "where is my order". If cutting your support load is the goal, that is a different tool.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Can I run both?

Yes, and many stores should. They do different jobs: AgenticCart handles the pre-purchase conversation on your storefront, a helpdesk handles the post-purchase inbox. They do not conflict.

Is AgenticCart just a chatbot with a better prompt?

No. The difference is what sits behind the conversation. AgenticCart syncs your catalog, embeds it for semantic search, and answers from real product data with cards, price and availability. A support bot answers from documents you wrote and have to keep updating.

What about Tidio Lyro, their AI agent?

Lyro is built to resolve support questions and is measured on resolution rate. That is a different target from recommending the right product to a shopper who has not decided yet.

Do I need to replace my store?

No. AgenticCart connects to your existing Shopify or WooCommerce store and reads your real catalog. Your store, checkout and customer data stay where they are.

How is it priced?

A flat monthly price per plan with an interaction allowance, and a 7-day free trial. No per-conversation billing and no separate AI quota.
