Looking for an Intercom alternative?

Intercom resolves questions. AgenticCart finds products.

Intercom is an AI-first customer service platform: Fin, an inbox, ticketing, and a large surface of product messaging around it. AgenticCart is a storefront where the conversation is how people find and buy, with nothing behind it but your catalog.

The short answer

Most of this page is detail. If you only read one part, read this one.

Choose Intercom if

  • Support is a function with headcount, and you need an inbox, tickets and reporting around it.
  • You want in-app messaging, product tours and onboarding flows alongside support.
  • You are a SaaS or subscription business rather than a catalog business.

Choose AgenticCart if

  • You sell products, and the hard part is helping someone choose between them.
  • You want answers built from a synced catalog rather than from articles you maintain.
  • You want a storefront on your own domain rather than a messenger on top of your app.
Same question

One shopper. Two answers.

“Do you have anything similar to this jacket but warmer?”

Intercom

Fin searches your help centre and connected content for a matching answer. Comparative product questions are outside what a resolution-focused agent is measured on, so it answers from whatever documentation exists or hands over.

AgenticCart

The catalog is embedded, so "similar but warmer" is a search the agent can actually run: comparable products come back as cards, and the shopper can push further on fit, colour or price in the same thread.

Side by side

How Intercom is priced

Per-seat plans, with Fin billed separately per resolution and email, SMS, WhatsApp and phone metered on top. Checked August 2026 on their pricing page; seat prices render by region, the per-resolution figure is published.

AgenticCart

One flat monthly price with an interaction allowance. No seats to count.

Charging per resolved question is priced correctly when questions are a cost. It reads differently when questions are how you sell.

What Intercom is built for

Intercom is a mature customer service platform with one of the strongest AI agents on the market, and a product-messaging surface that goes well past support: tours, onboarding, in-app campaigns, deep reporting and an enormous integration ecosystem. If you run support as a team function, or you are a SaaS business rather than a catalog business, none of what AgenticCart does replaces that.

What AgenticCart is built for

AgenticCart is built around your catalog rather than around a support inbox. Teams keep their service platform for working conversations, and AgenticCart takes the shopper conversation that happens before any of that.

Questions

The ones people actually ask.

Can I run both?

Yes. AgenticCart owns the pre-purchase conversation on your storefront, Intercom owns support after the sale. Different jobs, different surfaces.

Is Fin not able to recommend products?

It can answer from whatever content you connect, so it can talk about products you have documented. What it is not is a search over your synced product catalog with structured price, availability and variants behind it, which is what a shopper comparing options actually needs.

We are ecommerce and already pay for Intercom. Should we switch?

Probably not switch, no. Keep it for support if it works, and judge AgenticCart on whether the pre-purchase conversation is worth its own surface for you.

Does it work on WooCommerce?

Yes, through the official plugin, and on Shopify, and via product feeds.

How is it priced?

A flat monthly price per plan with an interaction allowance, and a 7-day free trial. No per-seat charge and no per-resolution charge.
